What will you be doing?
They are seeking a talented individual to join our Valuations and Modelling team in London or Birmingham where they’d be responsible for preparing a wide range of valuations for accounting, tax, and commercial purposes (for non-contentious or contentious circumstances). In addition to business and share valuations, we also prepare valuations of intangible assets (often post-acquisition or for tax purposes) and complex securities (e.g. employee benefit share options and management share plans, warrants, etc.).
As a Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Taking responsibility of the various valuation assignments and preparing autonomously the analysis, execution and reporting involved.
- Proactively managing teams and understanding clients’ expectations.
- Assisting partners and directors with business development (i.e., proposals for new business).
- Establishing the scope of work of projects, preparing associated budgets and communicating these to relevant parties.
- Supervising the performance and workload of the team (i.e., direct report).
- Internal and external networking to identify new opportunities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Significant experience of valuations gained within a leading advisory firm with international coverage and clients.
- Advanced knowledge of valuation methodologies and modelling and first-class valuation technical skills. History of providing these for different valuation purposes (e.g., accounting, tax and commercial purposes) and various contexts such as purchase price allocations, IP valuations, share options, derivatives and growth shares.
- Up-to-date working knowledge of key valuation methodologies and best practice modelling.
- Experience of managing a team of valuers.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent and completion or working towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA or Chartered Accountant ACA/CA/ACCA).
