They are currently looking for an ambitious professional with experience in delivering Business Rates and wider Tax Valuation advice to join our Valuation, Assurance & Professional Advisory team. Working at a senior level you’ll advise on a wide range of projects for both our public and private sector clients, who occupy and invest in a vast array of real estate and infrastructure. This is an exciting role offering the opportunity to the right candidate to leverage an established and well regarded platform to grow a truly market leading and differentiated business delivering insightful results to clients. The right candidate will have a fastidious eye for detail, enjoy developing innovative solutions for clients and also be keen to contribute to the team’s strategy and nurturing of our talent. Role:
This broad ranging role can be honed to best use the skills of the right applicant. Expectations of the role will include:
- Delivering strategic business rates advice, engaging as required in negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency, and liaising with client stakeholders.
- Identifying innovative opportunities in the Business Rates market to deliver advice, assurance and savings;
- Interacting with the breadth of various disciplines, including our Tax and Legal, and M&A businesses, contributing strategic real estate tax valuation advice including Business Rates as well as other areas of taxation such as SDLT and CGT.
- Identifying new trends and supporting the development of innovative valuation related solutions across the spectrum of Real Assets.
- Learning from, and liaising with, colleagues from different professional disciplines to deliver the most informed solutions for our clients; and
- Contributing to continued development of the firms market profile.
We are looking for people who are comfortable dealing with clients at senior management and leadership levels with ranging levels of experience in real estate. This will therefore require someone who is an excellent communicator and is able to articulate complex situations and messaging into clear advice and insight.

Key required experience
- RICS Qualified
- Business Rates – delivering strategic advice, navigating the Check, Challenge, Appeal process; valuation of specialist and trading properties, and negotiations
Desired:
- Use of Business Rates related software and databases
- Delivery of wider real estate valuation tax- related advice such as SDLT and CGT
- Team leadership including development and articulation of strategy, talent management and engagement financials
